Welcome to the Compass Group Pension Plan

The Compass Group Pension Plan is a salary related defined benefit scheme.  It incorporates a number of schemes that have merged with it over the years.  It was closed to new entrants from 2003 and closed to future accrual of benefits from 2010.  The one exception is with regard to transferees from the public sector where we are obliged, currently, to provide a defined benefit scheme that is comparable to the public sector schemes from which they transfer - these are known as our GAD scheme members. It is important to be aware that due to the vast array of different benefits that exist within the Plan this website can only give general information about the benefits that may apply and so may differ to the specific benefits applicable to the reader.

The Plan's Statement of Investment Principles (SIP), Chair's Statement and Privacy Notice have been updated.  To download copies of the latest documents, please go to the bottom of this page.

The Trustee is required by law to report on the charges and transaction costs Plan members have to pay and assess the extent to which these charges and transaction costs represent good value for members.  This information is set out on pages 2 to 10 of the Chair's Statement.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In the current unusual situation due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) we'd like to reassure you that the Compass Group Pension Plan is running as usual.

Your pension benefits will continue to be paid without disruption by the Plan's administrator, XPS, and if you're coming up to retirement your benefit requests will be processed as normal.  XPS have issued an update on their continued service commitment and this can be found at www.mypension.com/compass.

All the Plan's advisers, service providers and investment managers have business continuity plans in place and working and will keep the Trustees up to date on any changes.

The Compass Pensions Team continues to operate as usual.

Address verification letters to members

The Trustees of the Plan have recently carried out a review of the information held for members.  This review has highlighted that for some Plan members the existing address held may no longer be up-to-date.

The Trustees have asked XPS, a pensions consultancy formed from the merger of PS Administration Limited (who administered the Plan since 2016) with pensions consultancy Xafinity, to help update the Plan's address records.  A tracing service may, therefore, have been used to locate you at a new address and the Trustees need to clarify that they have traced the correct person.

If this applies to you, XPS will have asked you to notify certain elements of your personal information.  To do this you will need the reference information contained in the letter and to log onto https://www.xpsverification.com/compass.Protected Rights letters to members

Over the last few years there have been some changes in pensions legislation which mean that some members who only have a Protected Rights fund left in the Plan can now receive a refund of this fund.

The Trustees have asked XPS, a pensions consultancy formed from the merger of PS Administration Limited (who administered the Plan since 2016) with pensions consultancy Xafinity, to help contact these members and letters have been sent directly to them.

If this applies to you, XPS will have asked you to verify certain elements of your personal information.  To do this you will need the reference information contained in the letter and to log onto https://www.xpsoptions.com/compass.
